How Hbc Gift Cards Helped

Given the high volume and quick turnaround required for this company, Hbc proposed their auto-reload program as a means to meet the company's demands. This process enhanced the offering and supported the company's business objectives in 3 major ways:

1. Drive down card costs when purchasing custom cards:

Auto card re-load adds value to existing gift cards instead of shipping new ones. This option is especially useful when ordering custom cards with the company logo and messaging included. As such, the customer only had to purchase Hbc Gift Card at the onset of a program, and then load value onto it each time a “new card” is earned. In this company's case, an employee receives a $25 gift card each time they achieve their monthly sales quota; he/she may receive up to 12 individual cards each year. With the auto-reload feature, the employer may simply add $25 onto the initial card that was ordered for this employee, each time the quota is achieved.

The Hbc gift card is a more attractive redemption item for the employee and the employer alike. For the recipient, redemptions are ‘instant’ and the reward is immediately in their hands (no 2 week delay to receive their gift card). For the employer, the instant gratification on the employee's behalf increases the positive effect of the reward.. Additionally, this company was more apt to purchase ‘custom cards’ as they were positioned as a “one time” expense since the cards would be re-loadable.

2. Drive down shipping costs:

Because the company only had to place the order for gift cards once, they were able to reduce their shipping costs. This solution automatically drove down costs, again rendering the Hbc gift card a more attractive redemption item compared to others.

3. Environmentally Friendly Option:

The decrease in card production results in less plastic and machinery being used. Furthermore, the reduction in shipping of individual card units also results in less paper and fuel being used. With many corporations looking for ways to conserve energy and materials in today’s environmentally conscious world, an Eco-Friendly feature was an attractive incentive for the company in question.
